This is an incredibly interesting and rare car, it is a 1934 Delage D8-15S Laundalette by Carrosserie Franay. It is believed this car left the Franay factory as a extravagant Limousine and was converted at a later date to the Laundalette/Coupe de Ville specification you now see. Certainly is was very rarely seen to have an opening back section and drivers section. The car has been finished extremely well, was restored many years ago and has been in a French Private collection for the last 22 years. The D8-15S was a new model introduced in 1934 with the famous straight eight cylinder Delage engine of a slightly smaller capacity than the predecessor D8. It was sent to many coachbuilders of the period, Franay being one of the most stylish Parisienne companies. Our car starts first time and runs OK but has not been driven regularly for about 5 years so it would need a certain amount of recommissioning. The car is French Registered with all legal papers in place, although there is very little history with the car.
